things you might want to know
what happened with the cream heroes channel?
let's talk all about that over here, since there's a lot to explain
what are their breeds/types?
dd : norwegian forest cat
tt : british shorthair
coco : scottish straight
momo : exotic shorthair
chuchu : scottish fold
lala : munchkin
lulu : scottish fold + munchkin mix
nana, dodo, & toto : unknown
what is their age order?
tt > dd > coco > momo > chuchu > lala > lulu > nana > toto = dodo
how old are they?
quick note: whenever their ages are referenced, it's important to know that they are based on korean age conventions, which means that the kitties' age is 1yr immediately once they are born; here is an explanation of it.otherwise, their birthdays have so far been revealed to be:dd : birthday is 15 JAN 2016
tt : birthday is 15 JAN 2016
coco : birthday is 27 OCT 2016
momo : birthday is 29 OCT 2016
chuchu : given birthdate from claire is 25 DEC as her birthday, real birthdate unknown but born in early 2017
lala : birthday is 11 JAN 2017
lulu : birthday is 11 JAN 2017
nana : given birthdate from claire is 7 JUL (fun fact: "nana" is how you pronounce the number 7 in japanese), real birthdate unknown but born ~2018/2019
dodo & toto : birthdate unknown, born 2020
what are their genders?
dd, coco, momo, lulu, dodo, & toto are ♂ boys
tt, chuchu, lala, & nana are ♀ girls
how do you tell the difference between coco & lala? what about toto & dodo?
for coco & lala |
there are few good indicators that you'll be able to pick up as you continue to watch videos of them!for me, the most prominent is their body types; coco has regular-sized limbs and lala will generally be closer to the ground, since she's a munchkin. even when coco squats, you should be able to tell.their faces are also pretty different; lala has much bigger eyes, a longer and more noticable nose bridge, as well as a dark mole-like mark above one of her nostrils. her pupils are also distinctly round. coco has, IMO, a small face and kind of human-esque mannerisms. his eye movements are also much more subtle but much more noticable than with lala.another way to differentiate them is through their tails; lala is usually incredibly curious and constantly has her tail raised or otherwise active, while coco rarely does.the final best indicator are who they hang out with; coco is much more aloof, but he's very fond of momo and, sometimes, dd. lala is much more social and will hang out with most of the other cats, but is found more often around dd, lulu, and tt.for toto & dodo |
the best indicator is their face ; toto has straight-cut "bangs" (the orange on his face goes straight across over his eyes), while dodo has split/side-swept "bangs", an an orange spot next to his nose.the differences in their body are subtle, but toto's lower body is mostly all white, while dodo's has orange splotches here and there. if you see an orange-and-white cat with a mostly orange lower body, though, it's probably their mom, nana.toto is much calmer in terms of personality, too, while dodo is wild and quicker to act, not to mention very hungry and vocal.
how were they adopted?
dd, tt, coco, and momo were originally owned by LikeLab and were filmed for content for a subsidiary called LikePet. they may also have been therapy pets for the office.when the company was about to go bankrupt, claire bought LikeLab, became its CEO, renamed it SoftCream, and adopted the four older cats herself so that they wouldn't end up on the street.go here to learn more about the abovethe only other cat with any adoption information is chuchu; claire shares chuchu's story herebirthday information from above was extrapolated from insta posts and the aforementioned christmas video.nana, dodo, & toto were abandoned to a shelter and were taken in by claire, just before they were to be euthanized. initially to be fostered, where she would eventually adopt nana and give toto & dodo away, she made the decision to adopt all three of them in AUG 2020 after getting diagnoses of FIPs in the kittens.
what's up with tt's cloudy eye?
when tt was a kitten, she had feline herpes and it affected her eye, the cloudiness came as a result (of treatment? i'm not sure). anyway, she can still see, as far as i can tell
what about lulu's health updates? what are those?
lulu is a scottish fold and munchkin mix and, as a result, has physical disorders associated with those breeds and has shown to be afflicted by them very young (notably scottish fold's hereditary disease; watch this for more info)claire likes to update everyone on his health and show that he's happy and able to keep up with his older siblings, probably because of his popularity and probably for her own sake
are any of them gonna make/have kittens?
all seven cats are spayed and neutered; you can see coco, momo, and lulu's video here and chuchu and lala's video here (no graphic imagery, i promise!)nana's can be watched here, toto & dodo's can be watched herett and dd likely had operations before cream heroes was made
can you explain what's up with their nicknames?
dd is occasionally called "dundun," which, according to fluent speakers of korean, is a reference to his size ("dundun" = big butt, something along those lines)
coco is usually just called 박사님/코 박사/etc., meaning "doctor," and claire calls him this because of his intelligence and human-like qualities (she notes his eye movements are really subtle)
momo is referenced only as 휘장님, meaning "chairman/president," because of his perfectly stately, regal old-man face and also because he responds to it better/more immediately than being called "momo"
lala is sometimes called "myamya" because "mya!" is her signature sound
tt, chuchu, and lulu don't have nicknames...yet sometimes lulu responds to being called "yumyum" but i don't think that counts
what happened with the cream heroes channel?
note: the first and second links in this explanation direct to YouTube, every link following directs to an isolated, high quality image/screenshot on Tumblron 19 MAR 2020, claire uploaded this video titled "Good-bye, Cream Heroes" to her personal channel, 크집사, in which she explains that she has forfeited ownership of her original channel, Cream Heroes, presumably under heavy pressure.on 21 MAR 2020, the Cream Heroes channel, now under new management, made this community post. most of the claims made by the company were refuted by claire, through a community post on her personal channel. (the previous link is the post's translation provided by a commenter). the texts mentioned and provided by claire can be read here, with translations done by myself.it would also be beneficial to read the following comments found under the Cream Heroes announcement ( one & two ), as they are supplementary in further explaining the treachery behind LikeLab's acquisition of the channel.the Cream Heroes YouTube channel is the only thing acquired by LikeLab; the cats TT, DD, CoCo, and MoMo are all adopted by claire and are safe under her care. ChuChu, LaLa, and LuLu were adopted separately and are also totally under her care.on 07 AUG 2020, claire shared this update on her personal channel's community page (크집사); in short, saying that she and the management had misunderstood each other and she has been given back ownership of Cream Heroes. her ownership of Cream Heroes has since been relinquished again, circa fall 2020, and now the channel is home to new videos from Meow Diary (who have their own channel and cat adoptee introductions from a shelter in south korea.it is best to unsubscribe and stop supporting the old Cream Heroes channel.
